Sean O'Shea has paid an emotional tribute to Ellen Clifford, and stated that you couldn't ask for better teammates than her sons Paudie and David.
David was announced as man of the match thanks to his fine display, scoring 2-6 in the Munster final just hours after the passing of his mother.
Collecting the award on behalf of David, Kerry star Sean O'Shea expressed his sympathies to the Clifford family and vowed that the team will row in behind the family in the coming days and weeks.

"Yea, very tough, Kind of puts sport into perspective really," O'Shea said to RTE after the game, "There's a lot more important things in life than football and I suppose we're lucky to just be able to come out here and express ourselves on the pitch on a given day.
"But it's been an incredibly tough day. The two boys, it shows the character of them to come out and play like they did there and git it their all.
"We're thinking of the two lads and Dermot and Shelly and all the extended Clifford family at this time."
When asked about the two Clifford's decision to tog out this afternoon, O'Shea hailed them as exceptional teammates.
"You couldn't ask for better (teammates). That's them. That's their family. They are Kerry to the core.
"That's just the way they were brought up and the way they were raised. It's a credit to them. We'll really row in behind them now and give them the support that they need."
