Sean O'Malley & Snoop Dogg Embrace At UFC Event

Sean O’Malley and Snoop Dogg finally met seven years after the rap legend kick-started the UFC fighter’s career.

Sean O’Malley and Snoop Dogg Embrace At UFC Event

The former bantamweight champion appeared on Dana White Contender Series before entering the promotion and this is where Suga made his name.

In 2017, O’Malley fought Alfred Khashakyan and won the fight by a vicious one-punch knockout in the opening stages of round one.

Snoop Dogg was commentating on the bout with UFC icon, Uriah Faber on the ‘Snoopcast’ simulcast and the rapper’s reaction to O’Malley’s knockout went viral.

This exposure online was unprecedented for a fighter that was not officially on the UFC roster and O’Malley was one of the biggest names in the division before his debut.

At UFC 310, O’Malley and Snoop Dogg were both in attendance, with the two sharing an embrace was that was posted on Suga’s YouTube channel.

Snoop Dogg is a huge MMA and boxing fan, being heavily involved at the UFC and attending several events in the world of combat sports.

The rapping icon also commentated on Jake Paul vs Ben Askren back in April 2021, as his commentary for Paul’s knockout also went viral.

The Suga Show is hoping to return to the Octagon and reclaim his 135 pound title, after losing to Merab Dvalishvili at UFC 306.

Merab will be defending his title for the first time at UFC 311 against Umar Nurmagomedov and O’Malley is reportedly set to fight the winner.

The Suga Show has also been contemplating a move to boxing, as his striking has been one of the biggest threats in the UFC and was rumoured with a fight against Ryan Garcia.

However, this transition does seem unlikely given O’Malley’s aims in MMA and Ryan Garcia’s suspension from boxing – returning to licenced boxing in April 2025.
