Sean McVay only gave out one game ball after Rams’ win vs. Cardinals

Sean McVay kept his postgame speech in the locker room fairly brief on Saturday night. He was still jacked up about the Rams’ win over the Cardinals, but he didn’t keep his players around for very long after the victory.

After praising the defense’s effort and the resilience of the whole team, he handed out only one game ball. It went to Ahkello Witherspoon, the hero of the night who came up with a clutch interception in the final minute to seal the Rams’ win.

“I got one game ball. First pick of the year, you picked a damn good time. Ahkello Witherspoon,” he said.

Witherspoon went from being unsigned to practice squad player to starting cornerback for the Rams and his play on Saturday night was among the more impressive ones of the season so far.
