Sean McVay gives brief response to Jared Verse’s comments about Eagles fans

Rams rookie Jared Verse gave an already fiery fanbase some extra fuel heading into Sunday’s game when he said, “I hate Eagles fans” this week.

“They’re so annoying,” he added.

Verse, who went to Central Columbia in Bloomsburg, Penn., did not mince words about Eagles fans or the team’s colors, putting them on blast before this weekend’s matchup. Saquon Barkley responded to Verse’s comments and said it wasn’t “the smartest thing to say,” but Sean McVay seems to be backing his young edge rusher.

McVay was asked about what Verse said and he didn’t seem to have a problem with it.

“He told his truth. I’m riding with the Rams,” McVay said.

Eagles fans have already flooded Verse’s Instagram page with hundreds upon hundreds of comments, so he’s getting the wrath of Philly fans before the game even starts.

Verse certainly isn’t one to shy away from trash talk, so he’s going to feed off it on Sunday when he hears the boo birds raining down at Lincoln Financial Field.
