Sean McVay and Les Snead lost it in front of reporters when they saw the Patriots draft Cole Strange

I want to say that NFL fans, players, coaches, GMs, owners … pretty much everyone has learned never to doubt Bill Belichick.

But on Thursday night, there was a lot of doubting of Bill Belichick.

The New England Patriots surprised A LOT of people by taking Chattanooga offensive lineman Cole Strange, a shocking pick who was projected to not go in the first round. But again, maybe there’s something Belichick sees that the experts don’t, and when that happens, he’s sometimes right.

The Rams’ brass — GM Les Snead and head coach Sean McVay — were in front of mics when they saw the Pats’ pick. They had a laugh and McVay remarked, “And we wasted our time watching him thinking he’d be at [pick No.] 104 maybe!”

Oh my, indeed!
