When you don’t have a first-round pick and you don’t go on the clock until No. 104 overall, you can watch Thursday night of the draft stress-free. Just ask Les Snead and Sean McVay.
For the sixth consecutive year, the Rams went without a first-round pick. They once again rented a fancy house in Southern California to spend the weekend at, and the coach and GM seemed to take full advantage.
At the end of the first round, McVay and Snead met with the media and they were far more relaxed than any other coach and GM in the NFL Thursday night. Their press conference was filled with hilarious moments, including this one of their reaction to Cole Strange going 29th overall.

Snead told reporters that a few teams without first-round picks called the Rams to ask for advice on what to do on Thursday night, since Los Angeles has so much experience in this field.
“If it’s not to late, rent a really, really, really cool house in the Hollywood Hills. Other than that, I don’t have any advice for you,” he joked.

The entire press conference was fantastic from start to finish, and clearly the Rams’ coach and GM enjoyed the first night of the draft. They won’t be as calm on Friday night, and their radars will go up starting at around the 75th overall pick, they said.
