The Arizona Cardinals fired Sean Kugler, their offensive line coach and run-game coordinator, Monday before they played the San Francisco 49ers and lost 38-10 in Mexico City.
There was an incident Sunday night that led to the dismissal and now we know more.
According to ESPN’s Josh Weinfuss, Kugler groped a woman.
Mexican authorities were notified of the incident, which happened Sunday night, and then informed the Cardinals, who terminated Kugler and sent him back to Arizona on a flight Monday morning. The Cardinals had arrived in Mexico City on Saturday.
Kugler is the second member of the Cardinals’ coaching staff to leave after an incident with a woman. Running backs coach James Saxon was placed on administrative leave and later resigned in October after charges of domestic battery in Indiana.
