Sean Dyche 'slaps' same four words in bold letters on powerpoint to Everton players before every game

Alex Iwobi has highlighted how "just the food" has stayed the same at Everton after Frank Lampard was sacked and replaced by Sean Dyche.

Lampard lost his job toward the end of January after a 2-0 loss against relegation rivals West Ham United left the Blues in 19th in the Premier League and 10 games in all competitions without a win.

But their form has picked up since the arrival of Dyche, taking 11 points from a possible 24, to move up to 15th in the standings.

And Iwobi, who has become a fan favourite at Goodison Park, has outlined the big changes the former Burnley boss has made behind the scenes at Everton's Finch Farm training ground.

The Nigeria international told The Beautiful Game Podcast: "Before every game, sometimes even before training, on a powerpoint slide, 'minimum requirement, maximum effort', gets slapped in bold.

"It would be easier to say what's stayed the same. The food. Probably just the food.

"We train with shin pads now, we train with high socks, no hats, no snoods. The fining system is different. Even build-up before games. Normally you stay in a hotel before games, especially home games, we don't do that any more.

"I think his way of football is to strip down everything and go back to basics, which I understand. If he's watching this he's probably thinking, 'why is he wearing a hat indoor?' He's just stripped it down, back to basics, football and hard work.

"He just wants us to work hard. However you approach a game, you have to approach training the same. You have to run, treat every day like it's your last sort of thing. It is good. We had to slowly buy into it.

"He doesn't take any prisoners even if you're not playing and you're a sub or you're not in the squad, he's making sure everyone's on point."
