Sean Dyche doubts defender Seamus Coleman will play for Everton again this season after being stretchered off in Monday's 2-2 draw at Leicester City.
The Blues' skipper sustained ligament damage after a coming together with midfielder Boubakary Soumare shortly before half-time but revealed on Thursday morning, via a social media post, that he had avoided damage to his anterior cruciate ligament.
Speaking to reporters at Finch Farm ahead of the Blues' upcoming Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion, Dyche said of the injury: "It's still going to keep him out. It's still a ligament injury that needs sorting out, but everyone feared it was his ACL, and it's not."
Asked if he would play for the Blues between now and the end of the season, Dyche responded: "I doubt it. I don't think so."

Meanwhile, there was a positive update on the injury front from the Everton boss, who revealed that Amadou Onana would be available for selection for Monday's encounter at the Amex Stadium. However, Ben Godfrey is still sidelined with the groin issue he picked up during the 4-1 defeat to Newcastle United last week.
"He [Onana] should be fine. He's trained in the last couple of days so he's recovered," added the 51-year-old. "Ben Godfrey's groin is still not right so he'll take a bit of time. Seamus [Coleman] as you know [is out]. But no, everyone else should be fit."
