Sean Dyche has already held talks with Kevin Thelwell over transfers following his appointment as Everton's new manager.
The Blues confirmed on Monday afternoon that Dyche had agreed to take charge of the club after Frank Lampard was sacked last week. The 51-year-old takes over a team who have won once in 12 Premier League games.
Dyche took training for the first time on Monday and will take charge of his first game against Arsenal this weekend. However, his immediate focus will be on adding to his squad ahead of Tuesday’s 11pm deadline.

Speaking before his sacking, Lampard admitted his side were in need of attacking reinforcements and the ECHO has long reported that the club were hoping to bring in two forward options this month.
But apart from Ellis Simms returning from a successful loan spell at Sunderland, no new faces are yet to arrive at the club. Everton are one of only three Premier League sides yet to make a new signing so far this month.
However, when asked about transfers during his first interview in charge of Everton, Dyche admitted work is underway to try and add to his squad, but he is also hoping to get more out of a group of players who currently sit second-bottom of the Premier League table.
“Yeah, of course,” he told evertontv when asked if he was working with the club’s hierarchy on potential incomings.
“When I got the great news from the chairman and owner about becoming manager, I was really pleased about that obviously, but straight away working with Kevin (Thelwell) about the lists, the players.
“We’ve already had a look at some and we will be meeting again today about what is there, what we can affect.
“But even with that, it starts with the group here. I look at some of these players and they are good players, so it’s about enhancing them as well.
“So yeah, if there is something there we believe can affect the group, that’s different, but I’m back on looking at what we have got.
“Sometimes you can overlook what you’ve got and the quality they have, so it is about that as well. Focusing on that, giving everyone here what we want, giving them a chance, some feedback as well of what they're suggesting - whilst looking on the outside.
“But we are hot on that at the moment and with the immediacy it deserves.”
