Everton manager Sean Dyche insists he doesn’t have to be kept up to date on off the field matters amid fresh reports of new investment/a potential takeover at the club.
An article in the Daily Mail published on Wednesday evening claimed that 777 could acquire the club in a full takeover as early as next week in a £600m deal, dependent on whether or not Everton can retain their Premier League status this weekend. Speaking in his pre-match press conference ahead of the Blues’ trip to Wolverhampton Wanderers, Dyche said: “I don’t need to be kept up to date with anything at this stage.

“Mr Moshiri went out a while ago and said he was looking for further investment, that’s the way it is. I don’t need to know anything until I need to know it and at the moment I don’t need to.”
Moshiri, who has also been funding the building of Everton’s new stadium, scheduled to open in the 2024/25 season, has been seeking to sell some of his 94% shareholding in the club in a bid to recapitalise the business, although it is a challenge that has been made more difficult by the uncertainty that remains over both what league the club will be playing in next season and what, if any, punishment is handed down for the alleged breaches of the Premier League's profit and sustainability rules.
