Sure, it was Kanye West’s party, but the launch of his Adidas range brought another rapper back into the spotlight. See P Diddy, sitting in the best bit of the front row with Jay-Z, Beyoncé, a screaming baby North and Anna Wintour nearby. Diddy trumped all of that fashion fabulousness. Let us count the ways. The mid-blue jeans and Timberland – a nod to the 90s hip-hop style that he owns. The bright white sweater – the kind of clothing item that you can only wear if a driver is waiting outside (we reckon he keeps a few duplicates). And the sleeveless shearling coat, collar popped, the outfit’s piece de resistance – it almost beats our previous favourite Diddy moment, riding a jetski in his dressing gown, circa 2000. But, finally, it’s the face, with those thin, gold-framed specs – a bit poker, a bit chewing the inside of his cheek hoping Nori stops crying soon.

Talking of which, Kim Kardashian was another highlight, dressed in her husband’s designs. That consisted of what is essentially a bodystocking, a sports bra, leg warmers, Kanye’s jacket, wrinkly tights that looked a bit Prada and the expression of a 15-year-old who didn’t ask to be born. A mix of futuristic android, post-operative support underwear and Flashdance, it’s great – but with Diddy around, even Kim wasn’t the star of this show.
