Ciaran Whelan has blasted the GAA for their decision not to allow water-breaks in this weekend's games despite sweltering conditions.
Games were played in blistering heat over the past two days with temperatures reaching the mid-20's on occasion.
Water-breaks were commonplace during the covid seasons, and despite the extremely hot conditions, the GAA opted not to re-implement these breaks during the games.

The decision drew the ire of Ciaran Whelan who took aim at the GAA's decision on RTE's The Sunday Game Live.
"Sometimes Joanne you think of common sense and common sense should apply on a day like today," said Whelan.
"That can be very frustrating sometimes with the GAA. We'll need a water break watching the matches here today so you can understand that it will be very, very warm down on the pitch.
"It worked throughout Covid. Common sense and a bit of cop on should apply."
Sean Cavanagh agreed with his fellow pundit and believes players needs should be considered in these situations especially considering players aren't used to these hot conditions.
"They seem to be able to turn it on in professional sports. It happens in the likes of soccer and what not very quickly.
"The players aren't used to playing in these conditions," Cavanagh added.
"They took out the Maor Uisce because they were standing in positions for kickouts and being a distraction so what's the alternative? You have to provide water for the players," the former Dublin player added.
"It's nonsense."
