Seamus Coleman has undergone successful surgery on the knee injury he suffered against Leicester earlier this month.
The Republic of Ireland and Everton captain's season was ended when he was carried off in the 2-2 draw at the King Power Stadium almost a fortnight ago.
With the 34-year-old out of contract next month it cast doubts over what would happen in the summer.

Giving an update on Coleman on Friday, Everton boss Sean Dyche said: "He did have an operation. It is straight forward in terms of the view from the medical side and the way they have treated it.
"Apparently it has gone really well so hopefully it will be a straightforward recovery. All being well, he should be fit for next season.”
Coleman is yet to offer any indication over whether he will be remaining at the club.
Asked if Everton fans can expect to see Coleman representing the Blues past this season, Dyche added: "I have spoken to the ones that needed a chat about things. He [Coleman] is well in the loop of where he sits at this football club."
It means that Coleman will miss Ireland's Euro 2024 qualifiers with Greece and Gibraltar next month.
