Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett’s hand repair held up ‘famously’ Week 17

Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett made an impressive comeback from his hand surgery, missing just one game before returning to play the New York Jets in Week 17.

It was a different injury that limited his playtime on Sunday.

“He got his leg kicked and got a lower leg contusion that bothered him right in the area where he had hurt his leg before,” coach Pete Carroll said during his Monday morning radio show on Seattle Sports. “It was really sore during the game, and so he tried to get through that and got back in the game a little bit, but he got banged.”

While Lockett was only able to log two catches against the Jets, the good news is his surgically-repaired hand held up perfectly and shouldn’t be an issue going forward.

“He made it through the hand thing famously,” Carroll continued. “That’s crazy. That’s so crazy. There’s no words to describe his competitiveness and his will to be ‘part of,’ you know. He was amazing. That was great stuff.”
