Seattle Seahawks sophomore wide receiver Jake Bobo has been one of the standout performers at this year’s training camp. The second-year UCLA man has continuously made highlight reel plays. Bobo scored a long touchdown during Thursday’s practice, which prompted the social team to post this clip of the go-ball TD delivered by starting quarterback Geno Smith.

Bobo should see considerable action in Saturday’s preseason Week 1 game versus the Los Angeles Chargers. Head coach Mike Macdonald recently confirmed that several offensive starters won’t play on Saturday. “A couple of offensive starters aren’t going to play,” Macdonald said. That includes Smith.
In addition to Smith, the list of starters that may not play includes receivers D.K. Metcalf, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Tyler Lockett. If they sit, or play just a series or two, Bobo could receive the bulk of attention and targets from quarterbacks Sam Howell and PJ Walker.
Bobo was a complete revelation for the Seahawks last season. The North Andover, Massachusetts native began capturing attention by leading all Seahawks receivers during the preseason in receptions (seven), receiving yards (125), yards per catch (17.9) and touchdowns (two). He made the 53-man roster as a result.
Bobo appeared in all 17 regular season games. The former Bruins playmaker recorded 19 receptions for 196 yards and two touchdowns. Bobo should carry his strong momentum into Saturday’s showdown versus the Chargers.
