Seahawks to Sign Pass Rusher Frank Clark, per Report

The Seahawks are expected to sign pass rusher Frank Clark, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports. According to Josina Anderson, Clark is flying to Seattle on Wednesday to take his physical with the team.

Clark signed with the Broncos in the offseason but only played in two games for Denver before the team released him earlier this month. The 30-year-old began his career with the Seahawks as a second-round pick in 2015, recording 35 sacks in 62 games over four seasons for Seattle.

The Seahawks originally traded Clark to the Chiefs in 2019, where the veteran would play in each of the next four years. While with Kansas City, Clark made three straight Pro Bowls and won two Super Bowls while recording 23.5 sacks.

Former Denver Broncos and Kansas City Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark is set to return to the Seattle Seahawks, with whom he began his NFL career.

Seattle’s defense has 23 total sacks, which is tied for fifth in the NFL this season. Clark has recorded at least three sacks in every season he has played and at least 4.5 sacks in every season from 2016 to ’22.

By making this move, the Seahawks counteract their division-rival 49ers, who traded with the Broncos to acquire Randy Gregory two weeks ago.
