Mocks all over the place have the Seattle Seahawks moving up in the NFL draft to select quarterback Russell Wilson’s replacement now that he’s been traded to the Dever Broncos. One mock draft, however, has the Seahawks snagging an offensive lineman instead.
Kind of ironic, isn’t it?
Will Brinson of CBS Sports finds the humor in his projection.
“The Seahawks found Russell Wilson in the third round which is why I think it would surprise me if they pulled on one here in a thin class,” Brinson writes. “It would be hilarious if they drafted an OL with one of the picks they got for Russell Wilson after all his complaints about being sacked in the last few years.”
Brinson has Seattle selecting offensive lineman Charles Cross out of Mississippi State to beef up the Seahawks’ front and provide much-need protection for whoever replaces Wilson at the start of the season.
