Seahawks primed to return after shared experiences in Germany

The Seattle Seahawks players and coaches got to know each other a little better last week during the five-day work trip they took to Munich, Germany to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.  Coach Pete Carroll is planning to make the most of the camaraderie.

“Everybody was in a really good mentality throughout the time together. They liked being together, and we didn’t have any problems,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters this week. “There were no hitches in any aspect of it and that just makes it stronger. We just shared a huge experience, and unfortunately, and the part that pisses me off so much is we didn’t capitalize on it and get the win, so that you could really celebrate it the way you like to, but it was a positive experience.”

The Seahawks have a bye on Sunday, giving them some time to relax and recuperate from all the travel, but the work starts up again next Tuesday and Carroll is already looking ahead.

“We are ready to go. I wasn’t the only one,” Carroll said of the eagerness to jump back into the action. “There was a bunch of players who wish we could go right back at it too with the same thought of taking care of business and getting on track. We shared that thought. I wasn’t a lone ranger there.

“So, these guys are in a great place, but if we don’t take advantage of this, we are going to need to come back healthier, stronger, and fresher legs, and try to take care of the next game against the Raiders.”
