With the No. 123 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected Missisippi State defensive tackle Cameron Young.
Young comes in measuring at 6-foot-4, 304 pounds with 34.5″ arms and 10″ hands. He was one of the team’s official top-30 visits leading up to the draft. In 34 career college games, he totaled two sacks, nine tackles for a loss, four pass breakups and one interception.
Stopping the run is the name of the game with Young, who earned a 69.1 run defense grade from PFF in 2022.
Young should project as the team’s starting nose tackle up front in-between Dre’Mont Jones and Jarran Reed.
