Seahawks hope Shelby Harris can pull through illness to play Thursday night

Seattle Seahawks defensive end Shelby Harris was inactive Week 14 against the Carolina Panthers with an illness but the hope is that he is able to return in time for Thursday Night Football and the San Francisco 49ers.

During his Monday press conference, coach Pete Carroll said that Harris is still sick with what is assumed to be the same illness that has been circulating throughout the Seahawks locker room.

“Most all of the guys, it has been a 48-hour deal and he’s kind of at the tail end of it,” Carroll told reporters. “We’ve had a number of guys get sick and he’s one of the last guys getting it, hopefully, but we will see. I don’t know, each guy has been individually tasked with it.

“We will see if he can get through.”

Harris was listed as “did not participate” on the Seahawks’ estimated practice report for Monday.
