In many cases, the NFL draft is a truly life changing experience for many. Young men not only gain more wealth for them and their families than they could have imagined, they also realize the culmination of a lifelong dream.
Easily the best part of draft weekend are the emotional scenes from players and their families when they learn they are being drafted. Everyone remembers DK Metcalf’s emotional outburst when Seattle selected the star receiver… and now they have another.
When the Seahawks drafted Georgia running back Kenny McIntosh in the seventh round, the sentiment was evident on his end how he was feeling.

It's been 20 minutes since the #Seahawks called Kenny McIntosh to draft him. He's still fighting back the emotions talking to the media on a conference call now.

“Before Schneider can even tell McIntosh he’s the pick, saying “you’re too talented to be sitting here right now,” the running back is crying on the other end of the call. The tears continue through McIntosh’s brief chat with Carroll and running backs coach Chad Morton. Morton can’t do much other than take in the noise of the celebration happening in the background and McIntosh’s emotions.”
It is practically impossible to not either smile or get a little choked up when you hear calls like this…. if not both.
Seattle does have a history of picking running backs well in the seventh round, such as Chris Carson. Here’s to Mr. McIntosh, hoping he can prove teams wrong for waiting so long on him.
