The Seattle Seahawks lost more than just the NFC West division title in Week 15, they could be without defensive tackle Bryan Mone going forward this season.
Mone, who got the start in place of nose tackle Al Woods, who was inactive due to a sore Achilles, suffered a knee injury in the first quarter and was ruled out shortly thereafter.
Following the loss, coach Pete Carroll provided an update on Mone’s status.
“Big Mone, he hurt his knee,” Carroll told reporters. “We can’t say everything, but it’s a significant knee injury . . . He had a legitimate knee injury. It’s an ACL injury.”
Mone was helped off the field and into the medical tent on Thursday and eventually carted off into the locker room.
More information on his condition is expected shortly, but until then, this story is continuing to develop.
