The Seattle Seahawks are seeking their next offensive coordinator, but it appears the market is heating up and they are facing stiffer competition than anticipated for their finalists. Among the finalists for the offensive coordinator position are Grant Udinski, assistant OC/quarterbacks coach for the Minnesota Vikings, and Klint Kubiak who is the current offensive coordinator for the New Orleans Saints.
On Tuesday it was reported the New England Patriots were also interviewing Udinski, serving as a direct competitor with the Seahawks for his services. However, another AFC East team is looking at one of Seattle’s top candidates. The New York Jets are reportedly in the mix to hire Kubiak as their own offensive coordinator.
A name in the mix to be Jets OC for Aaron Glenn (if/when he is named HC):
Klint Kubiak.
He’s also in the mix for the Seattle OC job. Spent 2024 calling plays for the Saints.
(In addition to Scott Turner and Nick Caley, as @Connor_J_Hughes said. Will be others considered…

This isn’t the first time in recent weeks the Seahawks have been competing with another AFC team for Kubiak. The Cleveland Browns were reportedly interested in Kubiak as well, but they ultimately decided to promote Tommy Rees from within to the position.
Seattle has a number of advantages over the Jets for when it comes to appealing to top candidates: the organization is infinitely more stable, the quarterback situation is better, there is an abundance of weapons for a coordinator to work with, and most importantly they have a head coach. New York is still seeking their top man, which should give the Seahawks an inside track on Kubiak.
