And a video of the emotional moment has been shared thousands of times on social media, with Jack Grealish also sharing the video to his Twitter profile.

Dad Graeme, from Seaham, said: "Jack's made all of Abbie's dreams come true in a split minute."

"When she met him she broke her heart and sobbed like a baby - she just couldn't believe it. She still says now 'it hasn't sunk in Dad, I can't believe what he's done for me'.

"She has her everyday struggles because of the condition she's got, but this has given her such a boost in her life and made her feel so good.

"It's restored my faith in football too. He's a legend and I'll never forget what he's done for her.", he added.

Abbie Pinder meets Jack Grealish (Graeme Pinder)

Abbie, who has cerebral palsy and is a pupil at Seaham High School, started to 'fall in love' with Jack Grealish around eight months ago when her friends also developed a crush for the 26-year-old Man City player.

Graeme said he decided to book her tickets to see her first football match - Man City v Chelsea at Etihad Stadium on January 15.

On their way to the ground, Abbie could barely contain her excitement as she spotted Grealish getting off the coach.

But she was unable to get closer to him as Graeme had purchased standard tickets, which did not allow access to the tunnel area where the players enter the stadium.

After seeing his daughter's reaction, dad-of-three Graeme decided to contact the club to see if he could help Abbie to get closer to her crush at Man City's game against Fulham on Saturday, February 5.

And thanks to staff at the club and Grealish himself, Abbie, Graeme and mum Zoe got an experience better than they could have imagined - and Abbie has been "on cloud nine" ever since.

As well as a hug and a signed shirt, the family say Grealish sent Abbie a new signed football shirt with the message 'To Abbie, Lovely to meet you today beautiful girl, lots of love, Jack'.

They also said that Grealish has invited the family to be a guest at a future game and for Abbie to meet his sister, who also has cerebral palsy.

Graeme said: "After the game we were told that Jack wanted to come and see us again but he was on the treatment table, but there was somebody waiting at the lift who wanted a word with us.

"When we got to the lift it was Kyle Walker, the Man City and England right-back. We had a chat with him and he was lovely too.

"Then one of Jack's PR people said Jack would like you to come down as his guest for one game and he would like Abbie to meet his sister because she has cerebral palsy too.

"They said they would be in touch at a later date to sort it all out and Jack would pay for all the expenses for the hotel room and everything."

The 51-year-old added: "It's unbelievable, it's beyond our wildest dreams and Abbie's still on cloud nine now, she can't get over it.

"It's beyond our dreams because we were just hoping that she would get close to him, we never imagined he would go above and beyond like he has - it was really special.

"All of the staff at the club were absolutely outstanding too. They treat Abbie like a princess from start to finish.

"It was an amazing experience for her and us as parents. It was very emotional and we can't thank them enough."
