Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has revealed winger Sead Haksabanovic has picked up an injury after he was a surprise absentee from the squad to face Aberdeen.
The Montenegro international emerged as a real key player for Ange Postecoglou before the Scottish Premiership shutdown and scored the winning goal against Ross County in the final match before the enforced winter World Cup break to help the Hoops move nine points clear at the top. He picked up the Player of the Month award for November after kickstarting his Parkhead career and was expected to be in from the start at Pittodrie for the league restart.
However, the 23-year-old failed to even make the bench for the Aberdeen showdown leaving some Celtic fans puzzled, with James McCarthy and Stephen Welsh named as the only injury absentees ahead of the game in the Granite City. However, Postecoglou offered a pre-match update on the condition of the wide man.
Postecoglou told Sky Sports: "He just picked up a knock in training yesterday, unfortunately. He was all set to go."
