The Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) inaugurated on Thursday two projects in Yemen's Marib province to support the education sector.
The projects will aim to bolster educational opportunities, improve the efficiency of educational institutions and meet the increasing need for education in Marib.
The projects will also include the development of the University of Saba Region and establishment of a talented complex.
Several officials attended a ceremony in Marib that was held on the occasion.
The development of the University of Saba Region will include the construction of two new buildings and will benefit 3,129 faculty, staff and students from Marib, Al-Jawf, Al-Bayda and displaced people from neighboring provinces.
The Talented Complex project will comprise 12 classrooms and several facilities with educational labs for computer and chemistry, administrative offices, outdoor parks and sports fields. It is aimed at providing a proper environment to develop creative people and encourage innovation. The plan is anticipated to serve 1,369 people.
