Scrambler bike crash, murderer jailed and mum found dead in home

Man on scrambler bike rushed to hospital after 'serious' crash

A man riding a scrambler bike was rushed to hospital after a "serious" crash on a busy Liverpool road.

Merseyside Police rushed to Walton Road, near the junction of Bradewell Street, at around 5pm on Monday, October 10, following reports of a crash. Once at the scene officers found a black Vauxhall Insignia and a scrambler bike had crashed.

Police requested assistance from Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service. Once they arrived, the man riding the scrambler bike was rushed to hospital for treatment. The condition of the man is not yet known.

The driver of the Vauxhall stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries. Emergency services remain on Walton Road, which is closed in both directions, while the vehicles are recovered.

Man stabbed girlfriend's dead body after attacking her in her home

A man stabbed his "funny" and "kind" partner's dead body after attacking her in her home.

Robert Massey appeared at Liverpool Crown Court today, Monday, October 10 where he pleaded guilty to the murder of his partner and trying to kill two men. Massey, 43, of Piele Road, Haydock, pleaded guilty to murdering Jacqueline Forrest on August 30 this year.

Merseyside Police was called to Piele Road on the morning of Wednesday, August 31 following concerns for the safety of a woman. The body of 49-year-old Ms Forrest, known as Jaki to her friends, was found in the house.

'One in a million' mum dies lying next to three-year-old daughter

A "gorgeous and amazing" young mum died suddenly on the couch next to her three-year-old daughter.

Nicole Barnes, 29, was at her home in Bootle with her youngest child when she died on October, 3. The mum-of-four was found after her children's school rang her partner Craig Sharnock to ask why Nicole had not picked them up.

When Nicole was found, her friend Gemma tried to resuscitate her while waiting for the paramedics.
