According to Ohio State head coach Chris Holtmann, freshman guard Scotty Middleton will make a return on Tuesday when the Buckeyes travel to Lincoln to take on Nebraska.
Middleton missed the game against Penn State at home for violating team rules. What brought about that suspension has not been revealed, and don’t expect it to officially be. However, getting Middleton back will add some depth to the backcourt and that’s always a good thing on the road in the Big Ten.
So far this season, Middleton is averaging 4.7 points and 1.8 rebounds in almost 17 minutes of play. But again, getting some depth and ball-handling will do nothing but help Ohio State end a 12-game road losing streak dating back to last season that’s hanging around the program’s neck.
#Buckeyes coach Chris Holtmann on Scotty Middleton: "We’re always going to hold players accountable. He’s a really good kid. Love him. Obviously a big part of this team."
