The semi-finalists for the 2025 Women’s Scottish Cup have been confirmed after a dramatic weekend of quarter-final action.
Motherwell secured their place in the Hampden Park semi-finals with a dominant 3-0 away victory over second-tier Boroughmuir Thistle.
Glasgow City, however, had to dig deep to advance, needing a late goal to force extra time before overcoming 10-player Heart of Midlothian 3-2 at Oriam. It was a tight affair, but City’s resilience ultimately paid off against their much-improved hosts.
Reigning champions Rangers proved their pedigree with a professional 2-0 win over Spartans, cementing their status as contenders once again.
In the final quarter-final match, Aberdeen put on a strong performance to defeat St Johnstone 4-1, securing their spot in the semi-finals.
The eagerly anticipated draw for the Scottish Cup semi-finals will take place during BBC Scotland’s live coverage of the men’s last-eight fixture between Livingston and St Johnstone on Monday night.
