Scottish vegan cocktail company lands major supermarket deals

A SCOTTISH plant-based cocktail is now available in supermarkets across the country after the business landed two major deals.

Panther M*lk, founded in Glasgow, will be available in more than 50 Co-Op and ASDA stores over Christmas and the company is telling consumers their products are "most likely in a store near them".

Paul Crawford, who previously went into Dragons Den asking for £50,000 in exchange for 7% of his company, discovered the drink, which has roots in 1920s Spain, at a music festival in Barcelona.

Crawford, who owned Glasgow's iconic Sub Club at the time, brought the drink home and locals have been able to enjoy Panther M*lk at a secret bar in Mitchell Lane as well as Bananamoon on Great Western Road.

The drink is a vegan and gluten-free alternative to traditional cream-based liqueurs.

It is understood to be the world’s first "premium", ready-to-drink oat milk cocktail.

The drink is available in four flavours — Crema, Rosa, Café, and Menta — and the company recommends Crema topped with cinnamon for a "warming, nostalgic treat".

Vegan, gluten-free, and made with sustainably sourced ingredients, the company says that Panther M*lk is "not only a delicious choice for the socially responsible, but it’s perfect for those who want to enjoy the festive season without compromising their values or the planet".

Each 50cl bottle is priced at £18.
