Scottish Tory MP booed after mentioning Russell Findlay in Westminster

A SCOTTISH Tory MP was booed and jeered in Westminster after mentioning leader Russell Findlay.

John Lamont was speaking in a House Of Commons debate about the petition calling for a new General Election, which was signed by over three million people.

After hitting out at the Labour Government, as well as Scottish Labour leader Anas Sarwar (below), he said: “Only the Scottish Conservatives are now standing up to the SNP and taking on the nationalists.”

He then added, to loud boos and laughs: “Under our new leader Russell Findlay, we're reaching out to all those people that Labour have left behind.

“Everyone who feels disillusioned by Labour's empty, broken promises of change.

“Everyone who feels disconnected from what happens at Holyrood under the SNP.”

All said with a wry smile and reading from his notes, Lamont didn’t look entirely convinced of his own words either.
