SIX Scottish restaurants have been named among the most romantic in the UK ahead of Valentine's Day.
Open Table have compiled a list of the 100 best romantic restaurants across the UK.
Although the list did not have official rankings, six locations in Scotland have been named – one in Edinburgh, four in Glasgow, and one in Inverness.
Mamma Roma Ristorante, near the Edinburgh Playhouse, was hailed for its "delicious and extensive choice of menus to satisfy all customers" and proximity to the city centre.
Meanwhile, the four Glasgow restaurants that made the list were Ardnamurchan, Number 16, Ralph and Finns and The Spanish Butcher.
The award-winning Number 16 in the West End was singled out for its "quality food, friendly service and great value in relaxed surroundings."
The final restaurant in Scotland that made the list is Cafe 1 in Inverness, which is on Castle Street and reportedly offers "a unique, fine dining experience" in the Highlands.
