A serving Police Scotland inspector has been hit with a 12 month non-harassment order after he admitted to stalking a fellow officer.
Stewart Andrew admitted to stalking a woman he had previously been in a relationship with and was also fined £1125 and ordered to pay a £75 victim surcharge.
The 45-year-old appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Monday, February 27 and will now be referred to the force’s Professional Standards Department.

He earlier admitted engaging in a course of conduct that caused his ex-partner fear or alarm between January 15 and 26 last year by repeatedly sending her emails.
The Daily Record reports that Andrew also turned up at the woman’s home address in Kirkcaldy when not invited and was not welcome.
The offence was aggravated by domestic abuse of a former partner. After a lengthy career, Andrew was promoted to the rank of inspector in 2019 but now faces losing his job over the stalking conviction.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We are aware of the outcome in court and this will now be referred to the Professional Standards Department.”
