Scottish police launch investigation into 'unexplained death' at local B&B

The body of a man has been found at a Scottish B&B, with the police now launching an investigation into the death.

Officers were notified at around 8.45 am on Saturday, July 23 when the police were sent reports of a man falling unwell in the Queensferry Guest House in the Fife town of Rosyth. Emergency Services, including Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service, swooped on the B&B.

According to the Daily Record, the man could not be saved and was pronounced dead upon arrival. Photos from the scene show at least one police van and an ambulance outside the property, with another two ambulances spotted on a nearby road.

The man’s death is currently being treated by the police as “unexplained”, with enquiries ongoing to establish the exact circumstances of the death.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 8.45am on Saturday, 23 July, 2022, officers were called to a property on Queensferry Road, Rosyth.

“Emergency services attended and a man was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
