A Scottish mountain rescue team was forced to split to help three walkers in two dramatic incidents on Sunday night.
The Ochil MRT carried a badly injured casualty off the highest point in Fife while also rescuing two lost walkers 30 miles away.
A spokesman described the drama that unfolded on West Lomond, near Falkland, and Mill Glen, near Tillicoultry, on the team’s Facebook page.
They said: “The team was called out this afternoon to assist the Scottish Ambulance Service with a hill walker who had taken a fall on West Lomond.

“As the team were deploying we received a second callout from Forth Valley Police Division to assist two disoriented hill walkers in the Mill Glen area.
“A small team were diverted from the first incident and deployed to Mill Glen while the rest of the team made their way to West Lomond.”
And they added: “Local team members were quickly on scene and worked with the ambulance service special operations and response team to treat the casualty and keep them warm.
“When further team members arrived the casualty was packaged into a stretcher and lowered down the steep ground and carried to the ambulance vehicle.

“As the team were standing down from this incident we received confirmation that the lost walkers had been located by the other team and walked off the hill.
“Many thanks to the member of the public to assisted the West Lomond Casualty until help arrived, very good job.
“As always we wish the casualty a speedy recovery.”
