Scottish Masterchef star raising money for child's charity with pop-up pizza event

A Scottish Masterchef contestant has dedicated her next pop-up event to a charity created for people diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma.

Stirling-born chef Lisa Addison has pledged that £1 from every pizza sold will go to Franks Fund, a charity dedicated to teenager Frank who sadly passed away from Ewing sarcoma.

Posting on her Facebook page, Lisa wrote: "Powered by Ooni, Pizza night on April 7 is going to be highlighting a very special cause.

"I will be donating £1 form every pizza sold to the amazing charity Franks Fund, as I decided to throw my support behind it after reading Franks story.

"No child should have to go through what Frank and his family did."

Frank was just 14 years old when he was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma. (Franks Fund)

After this kind gesture, Ooni confirmed that they will match Lisa's total fundraising donation, and British food writer Tom Parker Bowles has also shown his support for the cause by reposting it on all his social media pages.

Speaking to Glasgow Live, Lisa said: "I just came across his page and his story just got to me.

"If I can help raise awareness for Ewing sarcoma and help families then I am going to. His mum is over the moon, and she has been a massive supporter of mine since I got on the BBC show."
