Scottish Love Island star Laura Anderson 'mum shamed' after posting new snap

Former Love Island star Laura Anderson has been hit with criticism by a 'mum shamer' after posting a picture on Instagram.

Laura has been enjoying a 'babymoon' in the Maldives and posted a photo of herself posing in the sunshine.

As she proudly shows off her bump, she captioned Laura wrote: "I hope we can be best friends."

But as the influencer was met with compliments and comments of support, one fan claimed she was using her bump as a marketing 'tool'.

They said: "Can appreciate you’re full of hormones and in love with your bump. You’ll be a good mum, Buddy can vouch for that.

"Please don’t use your child as a marketing accessory. I have so much respect for ‘celebrities’ who don’t ever show their kids face on social media, protecting their kids at vulnerable ages.

"Maybe have a private Instagram to share your little one with close friends and family and another for your ‘influencing’. It's your (and the father’s) choice of course. Wish you a happy and healthy pregnancy."

But other quickly flocked to the comments to compliment Laura.

One wrote: "You are absolutely GLOWING!"

"Wow, you look just amazing!" another said.

A third commented: "Baby love this is so cute and your bump is beautiful."

This comes after Laura Anderson and Gary Lucy confirmed they had broken up last month, not long into the pregnancy.

Speaking out about the break-up, she said: "I had no intention to comment on the breakdown of my relationship with Gary. However, due to what has now been publicly shared by other parties, I have been left with no other choice.

"Gary and I are no longer together due to multiple reasons which will remain private. Our plan was for me to move to Essex to start our family which I was more than happy to do.

"However, since the breakdown of our relationship I have remained at home in Scotland. My priority is bringing my baby up in a calm and stable environment."

"I am fully focused on having a healthy, happy pregnancy and remain excited to share this incredible journey with you all. Thank you so much for you support! Laura, Buddy & Bump."
