A SCOTTISH spot popular with visitors far and wide has been named one of the world's best places to visit in 2025.
Prestigious fashion magazine Vogue curated the list which includes locations like Romania and Kyoto, in efforts to showcase more underrated travel spots amid global "over-tourism" fears.

The Inner Hebrides was the one place in Scotland named among the best to visit in the world by Vogue magazine.
Discussing the location, the publication described it as an "it" destination that everybody needs to visit at least once in their lives.
Vogue readers were advised that the islands have caught the eye of luxury fashion and liquor conglomerate LVMH.
The firm recently purchased a hotel on Islay, near its Ardbeg Scotch whisky distillery, and is in the process of transforming the spot into a "moody seaside retreat".

The brand new property is being designed by Russell Sage Studio, which is also responsible for the award-winning Fife Arms over in the Cairngorms.
It will include guest rooms, a new restaurant and a statement bar that will serve "high-end whisky".
