A Scottish city has been named among the likes of Amsterdam, Honolulu and Lisbon in a top 10 list of the highest-rated holiday destinations in the world.
Edinburgh came fourth in the list and was only beaten by Athens, Florence and Lisbon in the study by money.co.uk which looks at which cities are the best-reviewed around the world when it comes to hotels, restaurants, nights out and things to do.
The capital also ranked 15th for restaurants overall and 17th for hotels, while also appearing in the top 5 for things to do.
Senior editor James Andrews said: "We all have our own travel bucket lists that we’ve been adding to over the years. Planning and saving up for the But which are the highest-rated destinations according to travellers?
"It’s almost impossible to travel to every single one of the spectacular destinations that the world has to offer.
"So, to narrow the field a little, we’ve looked at which cities are the best-reviewed when it comes to hotels, restaurants, nights out and things to do."
In total, 14.1% of Edinburgh's hotels, restaurants, nightlife and things to do were rated highly.
Taking the top spot overall was Athens, where 19.7% of hotels, restaurants, nightlife and things to do were highly rated. As well as being the top-ranked city for things to do, Athens came in second for both hotels and nightlife.
