A HOTEL on the popular tourist NC500 route in the north of Scotland has gone up for sale.
The Holborn Hotel, located in the centre of the Highland town of Thurso in Caithness and was built more than 100 years ago, has hit the market for £540,000.
Situated on the popular North Coast 500 route, according to the advert for the business, the hotel was fully booked from May to September over the last few previous years.
The hotel has seven bedrooms, a restaurant called the Red Pepper and a bar, which has been described as having a tremendous level of support from locals and tourists.
The seven bedrooms can sleep up to 13 guests with one family bed, three doubles, and three singles too.
All the bedrooms have modern en-suite shower rooms, central heating, tea/coffee-making facilities, and TV’s.
The bar can seat at least 60 people internally, with the potential to seat a further 20 people outside on a covered modern deck.
Holborn Hotel is a semi-detached stone-built building with a slate roof and a charming exterior.
The Red Pepper Restaurant employs three chefs and is described as having an “established sound reputation and is very popular in the area”.
Thurso is a top holiday destination for both staycations and for visitors from all around the world as it is the most northern town on the UK mainland.
It offers spectacular wildlife spotting from Puffins to Dolphins and is a popular surf destination too.
Castle Mey and Dunnet Head are also popular stops for visitors to explore.
