The Scottish Government has confirmed three coronavirus deaths were reported in Tayside in the last 24 hours.
The area's death toll - composed of people who first tested positive for the virus within the previous 28 days - rises to 822.
Data from Public Health Scotland also shows that 385 new cases were recorded overnight in the region.
In total, Tayside has recorded 78,308 cases of Covid-19 since the pandemic began.
The latest local vaccination data shows that 91% of people across Tayside have had at least one jag, 85.8% have received at least two, while 68.5% have also received a third, or booster, vaccination.
Across the country, 8,516 new positive cases of Covid-19 have been recorded in the last day.
There were 33 Covid-confirmed deaths reported meaning the country's overall death toll from the virus rises to 10,255.
There are currently 1,389 people in Scotland's hospitals being treated for covid with 32 in intensive care.
The figures come as Ian Blackford accused the Prime Minister of “demeaning the office in the same way as Donald Trump” as he renewed calls for him to resign.
Ahead of the publication of the Sue Gray report on coronavirus partygate, the SNP Westminster leader launched a personal attack on the Prime Minister.
Blackford described Johnson as: “Someone who treats being PM as a personal fiefdom. He thinks the rules don't apply. I think the man is a disgrace the way that he’s handled himself. He doesn’t recognise that responsibility and he’s behaving in a Trumpian way.”
With Westminster on tenterhooks awaiting the report by Whitehall enforcer Sue Gray, Blackford said the Downing Street partygate scandals were a distraction from the issues that ought to be at the centre of politics.
