CELTIC has been named as having the best fan chant in world football by a Spanish football site that shared a clip of fans belting out their version of a pop classic.
90min en Español praised hoops fans for creating an atmosphere that was like “a real party in the stands” when they sing one particular track that has been ranked higher than fan chants from Liverpool, River Plate and Real Madrid.
The website crowned Celtic fans’ rendition of Depeche Mode’s Just Can’t Get Enough as the best fan song you’re likely to hear in any football stadium across the globe.
To come to their decision, 90min en Español made a list of 12 songs that are seen as the most famous in the world.
And a favourite among the Celtic support came in second place as well but not a version sung by hoops fans.
Liverpool’s iconic You’ll Never Walk Alone came in just behind Celtic’s Just Can’t Get Enough.
Famous fan chants from River Plate and Real Madrid also made the list along with Club Brugge’s version of Seven Nation Army by The White Stripes.
90min en Español said: "In 90min we have decided that the first place goes to the fans of Celtic from Scotland, who show that their fans are not just a few hundred but the whole stadium who start a real party in the stands every time 'I Just Can't Get Enough' is blasted out.
"Everyone sings, everyone dances, everyone applauds, but no one stands still."
