Scottish comedians to host gig to fundraise for Bethlehem theatre company

A GROUP of Glasgow comedians are taking part in a charity fundraiser in a bid to raise money for a theatre company based in Bethlehem.

Paul Black and Susie McCabe as well as Kim Blythe, Rosco McLelland, Susan Riddell and Scott Agnew will take to the stage in The Stand in Glasgow to raise money for the Al-Harah Theatre.

The event, taking place on Monday September 23, is for over 18s only and tickets will cost £15 with all funds going to Friends of Al Harah Theatre to support work with children and refugees in Israel’s ongoing bombardment of Gaza.

Promoters have promised a “night of satire, stand-up and maybe even a song or two” as they aim to raise money for a charity helping those “navigate the trauma of the ongoing conflict”.

It creates work for children, young people and adults that tour locally, regionally and internationally, helping to reach refugee camps, villages and cities.
