Popular Scottish comedian, Janey Godley, has shared an update on her treatment for cancer as she is set for her last round of chemotherapy.
Janey has consistently issued updates on social media throughout her heartbreaking journey with ovarian cancer, last month announcing that her life may be coming to an end.
On Monday morning, May 16, Janey updated fans on Twitter, saying that she was up early for blood tests ahead of her sixth round of chemotherapy, adding that she hopes it will be her last ever.

She tweeted: "Up early for bloods before number six chemo tomorrow - it’s the last in this cycle and hopefully the last ever (fingers crossed)."
Janey also shared another tweet, saying that the power of Twitter had allowed her to interact with so many positive and lovely people throughout her health journey.
She added: "I can’t quite express the gratitude for the huge outpouring of love I get on twitter - I can’t believe I spent YEARS arguing back with anonymous bams when so much love existed on here - your love and support have made me a better human."
Sharing her diagnosis of stage three cancer, the comedian had already explained to fans that she has accepted her situation, due to having "no control" over how her body will react to treatment.
The 61-year-old underwent a full hysterectomy, but the progress of the cancer ultimately meant that Janey required further treatment beyond the operation.
Stage 3b is defined as cancer growths 2cm or smaller in size on the lining of the abdomen and there may also be cancer in the lymph nodes.
While her gruelling battle with cancer is one of the most agonising journey's anyone could face, the comedian has consistently delivered updates on her socials, as well as spreading awareness.
In November 2021, Janey was due to perform in Edinburgh, but had to cancel the show due to her diagnosis, with thousands of fans offering support and sending positive messages to the comedian.
