'Scottish Cinderella' Bungling dirt bike lout crashes into car before leaving behind shoe

A bungling dirt bike lout has been dubbed the 'Scottish Cinderella' after crashing into a parked car before leaving behind a shoe when legging it.

Police have launched a probe after the incident happened on Blackburn Road in Cowdenbeath at around 9.30pm on Sunday, January 23.

The thug was driving down the road and clattered into the parked vehicle, bursting its tyre, smashing the wing mirror and setting off the alarm.

In a blind panic they sprinted off leaving the dirt bike and their own trainer behind.

Now officers have seized the two items, in an incident which locals have suggested could only be solved by Prince Charming himself.

Scots mum Arlene Milton's car was damaged in the crash.

She told the Record: “My son heard the car alarm going off so my husband went down to investigate when we discovered the mirror hanging off and the wheel burst.

“We also noticed an abandoned dirt bike further down the road.”

She laughed: “On further inspection we discovered they must have just made off as they had left behind their shoe also.

“They probably have some fairly serious injuries but we believe they have lost control of the bike hitting the tyre going over the handlebars and the person has then gone into the car taking the mirror off.”

Details of the incident were posted on the local Facebook page Fife Jammer Locations, leaving their followers in stitches.

One person said: "This is the Scottish version of Cindarella," while another posted a picture of Prince Charming, adding: "I know just the man to track down the person with one shoe."

A third person joked: "Cooncil version of Cinderella pending."

Another joked: "Looks like he needs New Balance."

And meanwhile, other more original quips included: "When the police get him he wont have a leg to stand on!," as well as: "Looks like he's hopped it."

Police say their enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 9.30pm on Sunday, January 23, police were called to Blackburn Road, Cowdenbeath after a bike struck a parked car.

"Police enquiries are ongoing."
