A NUMBER of Scottish bakeries and pastry shops have been recognised as among the best in the world.
La Liste's Pastry Awards 2024 gave recognition to over 3000 pastry providers that it considers the “crème de la crème of pastry shops, bakeries, coffee shops, afternoon teas and desert restaurants”.
Of those, 199 were in the UK and 24 in Scotland – from Castle Douglas and Muirord to East Linton.
Among those recognised was Lannan Bakery, in Edinburgh’s Stockbridge area, which also won the best newcomer in the world.
