The Scottish Ambulance Service is asking people across the Falkirk district to only dial 999 if it's a genuine life-threatening emergency this Easter weekend.
Call handlers and paramedics are gearing up for one of the busiest weekend's of the year and are urging people to think twice about phoning for an ambulance.
Bosses say you should only dial 999 in a genuine life-threatening situation.
Taking to Twitter, the service said: "We hope you are enjoying this Bank Holiday weekend.
"We're expecting it to be busy, so please use 999 only in an emergency and if your condition isn’t life-threatening, you should call NHS 24 on 111."
The plea follows a similar messages from NHS Forth Valley earlier this week - health chiefs there are asking people across Forth Valley only to visits its Emergency Department this Easter if you end up with a life-threatening injury or illness.
They are worried that if people attend with a minor injury or something that could be seen by a GP, it could cripple the department which is already under severe pressure.
