Scott Sinclair says a move to Bristol Rovers was always on his mind as the Celtic hero made a shock move down the football ladder.
The winger left Parkhead for Preston in 2020 but departed Deepdale upon the expiry of his contract at the end of last season. He's taken his time to choose his next club and has now decided to join where he started his professional career.
Sinclair won acclaim during a trophy-laden spell at Celtic and said of his move to working with former Rangers midfielder Joey Barton's team: "I'm delighted to back at the place where my career began. I've been training for a couple of weeks and The Quarters is certainly very different to where we trained when I was younger! I've always wanted to come back to the club to give back what they've given me at the start of my footballing journey."

Barton explained: "We are delighted to have brought Scott into the group. He has been training with us for a couple of weeks now.
"We're enjoying having him in with us. He's a fit lad, his experience and quality is superb and he will strengthen us further as we move into these winter months."
It is only a deal until January and Sinclair is not available to make his debut in tonight's Papa John's Trophy game versus Swindon Town.
