Convicted murderer Scott Peterson, known for the notorious murders of his wife Laci Peterson and unborn son Conner, has recently broken his long silence by participating in a three-part Peacock true crime docuseries titled Face to Face with Scott Peterson. The series, produced by Universal Television Alternative Studios, is set to premiere on August 20.

In this upcoming docuseries, Peterson will provide his first on-camera interview since 2003, shedding light on the tragic events that led to his conviction. The official teaser trailer, released recently, features jailhouse footage of Peterson being interviewed, hinting at the revelations to come in the series.

Director Shareen Anderson, who has been investigating the murder case for over a decade, will lead the discussions with Peterson, allowing him to present his side of the story. This initiative comes as the Los Angeles Innocence Project announced its decision to investigate Peterson's case, citing potential violations of his state and federal constitutional rights.

Scott Peterson was convicted of murder in 2004 and initially received a death sentence, which was later commuted to life in prison without parole. Despite the conviction, ongoing efforts by Peterson's family and case experts have persisted for over two decades, aiming to uncover inconsistencies in the evidence and explore alternative theories surrounding Laci's murder.

The Peacock docuseries aims to delve deeper into the complexities of the case, providing a platform for Peterson to address the allegations against him and potentially offer new insights into the events surrounding the tragic deaths of his wife and unborn child.
